Controlio AI
Controlio AI is a security assistant built into the app. It takes your latest scan results and license state as context and answers your questions about Microsoft 365 security. The answers are not generic; they are specific to your tenant.
What you can ask
You can type a free-form question or start from a ready action: Full Analysis, License, Priorities, Roadmap and Executive Summary. Its scope is Microsoft 365 security: Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and PIM; Microsoft Defender; Intune device compliance; Exchange, SharePoint and Teams settings; Purview; scan results and framework compliance (CIS, NIST, ISO, MITRE ATT&CK).
How it answers
Controlio AI works like a chat. It replies briefly and conversationally rather than dumping long reports. For every action it suggests, it states two things: the impact on the end user (none, low, medium, high) and the direction of the effect on Microsoft Secure Score. It does not invent numbers; it will not say something like "this action is +5 points".
It shapes its answers around your license state. It first recommends what you can do with the licenses you already have. If a feature needs a license you do not have, it says so for information only, never "go buy this". It does not recommend third-party or competitor products; it stays within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Its scope is security. It does not get into financial topics such as cost, ROI or reducing licenses, nor into questions outside security.
Access and privacy
Using Controlio AI requires an active Controlio license. You can open several chat sessions, and the history is kept in your browser. The response length and the model in use can be chosen in Settings.
As an assistant, Controlio AI takes only your scan results and license profile as context. It does not access your emails, files or message content; the read-only principle that runs through the product applies here too.
